Job Summary:
Candidate will be a technical lead who guides the network and systems administrators in a technical approach in support of a product owner. This candidate will also design, configure, implement, and maintain Windows Server 2019 Domain Controllers within a complex virtualized system architecture in a next generation training platform for a future Department of Defense (DoD) training environment.
Essential Job Functions:
The Candidate is applying to be a technical lead in support of a Product Owner in a Program that uses the Agile Methodology. This person needs to take initiative and be able to mentor and give direction to team members.
The Candidate’s primary duties will be to have an advanced knowledge on Windows Server 2019 Domain Controllers. Must be able to perform configuration changes to Active Directory using PowerShell. Must be able to configure Group Policy and push those policies down to computers on the domain. There are also several other aspects within Active Directory that will be required such as DNS, Users and Computers, DHCP, and NPS to name a few. Must be familiar with planning, testing, and implementing new security technologies and security configurations that will support requirements from the customer.
The candidate will troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis in the event of a patch, component, device, or system failure. Proficiency in event viewer or log analysis to troubleshoot issues to include Windows 11 clients is required. Must be able to coordinate productively and diplomatically with vendors, team members, developers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Will be required to create documentation and diagrams that reflect updates for systems already in place and environments still in the design phase.
Must be a self-starter and able to prioritize multiple tasks on demand in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. In turn, must be flexible based on the requirements from the customer.
Required Skillset:
- Take technical direction from the program leadership for work assignments and overall requirements.
- Mentor and Relay direction to team members as a Deputy Product Owner
- Advanced knowledge in Windows Servers 2019 Domain Controllers
- Advanced knowledge in writing PowerShell scripts to modify and apply changes within the Windows Active Directory. May be required to write procedures and programs to automate repetitive processes.
- Edit and apply Domain Level Group Policies
- Install patches and upgrades to OS for Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
- Apply cyber system security lockdowns mandated by DISA. Will work with the cyber team on the STIG Checklist and compliance.
- Vast Knowledge in McAfee ePO and the implementation
- Assist in isolation and troubleshooting of operating systems, installing applications, configuring network equipment including switches, and providing solutions to operational problems.
- Builds, operates, and manages VMWare, Kubernetes, Windows, and Linux server deployments as well as write automation tasks to deploy services and applications.
- Setup and manage web and data file servers used during training exercises and events.
- Must have familiarity with VMWare vCenter & vSphere, Kubernetes, network file systems, web, and mail servers.
- Familiarity with network security
- Familiar with monitoring software such as Grafana
- Capable of lifting and moving of equipment
- Must be capable of compiling and installing applications required by the customer.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as IT, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 15 years’ practical experience
- 8570 Compliant IAT Level II or greater. Security+, CISSP or other equivalent certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Server 2019 Certifications
- Strong Linux support skills
- VMWare applications knowledge
- Networking using Cisco, HPE, and Dell devices and in a virtualized environment.
- Knowledge of modeling and simulations systems used by US military.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
