Information Technology Analyst II- IT Finance
Position Summary
Designs, implements, analyze, and modify new and existing programs and systems for business or patient care needs. Responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and/or applications. Ensures the performance, integrity and reliability of system components. Determines user specifications for hardware and software needs. Works independently in a professional, high-tech environment to oversee sophisticated and specialty technology.
Essential Job Duties
- Provides programming and/or analytical support for the relevant departmental system, subsystems, and related software products, in support of clinical and operational clients. Creates, updates and maintains project plans and provide design and installation/support documentation. As needed, creates or modifies change management procedures as per departmental standards.
- Monitors system performance and response times. Recommends performance improvements, and provides reports to users and management as required.
- Prepares detailed specifications, diagrams and other programming structures from which programs are written.
- Designs, configures and installs new programs, modifications or enhancements to existing systems. Analyzes modifications or enhancements to determine impact on existing production systems.
- Develops test plans, test data and testing schedules. Conducts unit and system tests to verify results of software solutions in development as well as post production.
- Performs analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic as necessary. Trains end users in use of equipment and software.
- Installs/Performs in-house and vendor updates, in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with IS change control standards and procedures.
- Provides technical customer support by monitoring production systems and responding to incidents. If Clinical, this position acts as a liaison between end users and the information services team.
- May work with multiple phases of systems and applications analysis, and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Researches, plans, and designs interfaces between a wide variety of systems to support clinical and business needs of the Hospital. Develops, tests, documents, and implements changes and enhancements to existing interfaces, support scripts, or other changes to the interface engine environment.
- Coordinates application development and migration with developers from multiple teams.
- Provides support during non-working hours to ensure the operation of production systems in a 24 x 7 environment, if needed. If ITSM/Service Desk is expected to operate as Communicator on Call (COC).
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
This is a full time position, working 4 days a week mostly out of our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan; reporting to NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals as projects require. Ability for 1 day remote a week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of previous work related experience
- Strong initiative, good customer service, organization, oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or major in Computer Science
- Knowledge of: HL-7, Microsoft Suite, including Project , Service Now
- Financial Systems: Knowledge of Cobol, Lawson, XML, and Kronos
- PMP

Salary Range:
$69,500-$110,500/Annual
