The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a part-time Help Desk Assistant in our Information Technology department. The Help Desk Assistant provides support to end users for basic computer and mobile device software and hardware issues. They identify, research, and resolve routine technical problems, escalating to more senior personnel as required. The Help Desk Assistant also responds to telephone, email, and walk-in requests for technical support.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Answers the Information Technology Help Desk tickets, emails, and phone, as required;
- Troubleshoots computer and multimedia issues in Academic Labs and Smart Classrooms;
- Troubleshoots computer, multimedia and WiFi issues for Faculty, Staff and Students;
- Guides users through standard resolutions for common technical problems (e.g., password resets, software installations);
- Schedules and delivers multimedia equipment for presentations;
- Assists in the upkeep and inventory of IT-related equipment (computers, peripherals, etc.);
- Guides users through standard resolutions for common technical problems (e.g., password resets, software installations);
- Performs other related duties as required.
