About the Job
An expanding industrial company is adding a position for a highly skilled On-Site IT Specialist to join our team. As an On-Site IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to our employees, working closely with external vendors and cloud application service providers, and assisting with network administration and laptop provisioning. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in IT support and administration.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support to employees, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with external vendors and cloud application service providers to ensure smooth integration and operation of IT systems and services.
- Assist in network administration, including configuring and maintaining network devices, monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
- Provision laptops and other computing devices for employees, ensuring proper setup, installation, and configuration of software and security tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications and systems, including updates and patches.
- Conduct regular maintenance and health checks on computer systems, network infrastructure, and servers.
- Assist in the setup and management of audio-visual equipment for meetings and presentations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on the effective and secure use of IT systems and software.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, software licenses, and user support requests.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in IT technology and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in IT support and administration.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience working with external vendors and cloud application service providers.
- Proficiency in network administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with laptop provisioning and configuration.
- Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support and training.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and documentation.
