Description
As an Infrastructure Administrator at Impulse you will be focused on implementing and optimizing hyper-converged on-premises and multi-cloud environments. You will be responsible for integrating various systems, implementing required security controls based on a zero trust architecture, and building monitoring and alerting systems. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in rapidly building new systems while maintaining our existing infrastructure and ensuring compliance with CMMC and ITAR regulations. This position is key to supporting our growth in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Own and support integrations between various systems and technologies
- Deploy, maintain, and test backups and disaster recovery plans in accordance with the company’s BC/DR strategy
- Implement and enforce network security controls aligned with zero trust principles
- Implement and own privileged access management infrastructure as part of the zero trust strategy
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, validating that all systems are effectively monitored with regularly tested alert mechanisms
- Research and develop innovative solutions to complex and unique business problems
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- 6+ years' of demonstrated experience working with Cloud Infrastructure: Proficiency in Azure, AWS, and VMware Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments, including experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
- 6+ years' of demonstrated experience with monitoring tools like PRTG, Nagios, or similar, with the ability to configure, manage, and validate monitoring and alerting systems
- 6+ years' of demonstrated expertise in deploying, maintaining, and testing backups and disaster recovery plans, particularly within Azure, AWS, and VMware environments
- Experience with implementing and managing privileged access management (PAM) solutions, such as CyberArk, Thycotic, or similar, as part of a zero trust strategy
- Proven ability to manage and support integrations between various systems and technologies
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Familiarity with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, and implementing zero trust architectures
- Demonstrated experience working at a fast-paced environment, or comparable start-up
- Demonstrated experience working systems administration within an aerospace company

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
