About the Job
Description: Our client is in need of an experienced billing analyst that can come in and help improve their processes, better track their spend, audit their monthly invoices for reconciliation and help mentor their junior analyst.
Primary Purpose:
• Perform a variety of services required for effective operation of the department. Key recurring areas of service include:
• Analyze infrastructure services, spending and vendor management
• Act as a liaison between carriers and billing partners, managing relationships including billing, service, SLA’s, pricing and disputes
• Infrastructure Financial Reporting and Forecasting
Responsibilities include:
• Work with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) on invoice processing including cost center allocations, billing information updates into Ariba, analysis of monthly invoices
• Collaborate with key business partners to obtain supporting information
• Provide monthly reporting for financial period end as it relates to accruals, reclassifications and cost center allocations. Research variances relating to budgetary spend for Infrastructure spend
• Complete month-end accounting activities, maintain internal analysis and respond to questions from Accounting and IT Services
• Develop materials to document operational end-to-end process flows
• Detail oriented and understands the key trends and levers that impact business.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent project tasks, work under pressure, and ensure high-quality deliverables and outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous experience in infrastructure billing, analysis, and provisioning highly desired.
- Experience in accounting, general or specific to telecommunications, is a plus.
- Experience in telecommunication, circuit ordering, billing reconciliation and contract terms/conditions.
- Proficient in INFOR or Claro or any other billing/ purchasing system, Excel
- Excellent analytical skills and detail oriented
- Experience creating new processes and workflows for billing operations and mentoring team members.
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication, written, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with willingness to work hands-on
Top Skills Details:
1) Experience with ethernet/ telephony/ circuit billing, Infrastructure and Cloud Financial Operations
2) Experience working in a billing/purchasing system, INFOR or Claro would be a plus.
3) Experience with budgeting to track YTD spend on voice, internet, telephony, infrastructure and cloud
