Role Overview:
Ironclad Defense Works is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Coordination Specialist to provide key contractor support for NATO's Nuclear Consultation Command & Control (NC3) Programme. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing infrastructure subject matter expertise in the areas of program planning, capability architecture, and the alignment of infrastructure projects with broader NATO objectives. As part of the interim Capability Management Office (iCMO) for NC3, the specialist will work closely with project coordinators and Host Nation (HN) and Territorial Host Nation (THN) leads to ensure infrastructure efforts meet NATO’s strategic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
This role requires a thorough understanding of NATO's Common Funded Capability Delivery Governance Model and its processes for capability development. The Infrastructure Coordination Specialist will not only contribute to the technical aspects of infrastructure projects but will also ensure that these efforts align with the overarching goals of the NC3 Programme, including timelines, cost management, and scope. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for generating comprehensive technical reports and documenting all infrastructure-related components of project proposals, ensuring they meet NATO’s stringent standards. The ability to communicate effectively with multinational teams, including stakeholders from various NATO nations, is essential for success in this role. As a key player in the coordination of NC3 infrastructure development, the specialist will be instrumental in ensuring NATO’s nuclear command capabilities remain robust and operationally resilient.

- Support the development of NC3 Capability Architecture, Requirements, and Capability Programme Plans (CPPs).
- Assist Host Nations in preparing project proposals and ensure alignment with NC3 goals, including strategic objectives, outcomes, and benefits.
- Evaluate technical risks associated with project proposals, offering mitigation strategies to ensure the successful execution of infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with NC3 Programme Directors and Project Coordinators to assess the technical resources required for project success.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for infrastructure-related tasks, providing guidance and recommendations to improve project proposals and execution.

Qualifications:
- Experience working within NATO or multinational organizations, particularly in the defense sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in infrastructure project design, implementation, and management.
- Strong familiarity with NATO's program management frameworks, particularly related to common-funded capability projects.
- Certified qualification in Programme and Project Management (e.g., Axelos, PMI).
