Job Description
- Manage and maintain our VMware environment to provide critical virtualization functions.
- Have a proactive focus on production systems support for Client Hardware stack and Tintri storage.
- Lead and be creative in determining appropriate technologies and technical solutions.
- Partner with other Application Developers to design, implement and run the technology solutions.
- Provide excellent communication and documentation.
- Foster a deep sense of team work and collaboration.
- A bias for action in pursuing continuous improvement.
- Present ideas and opportunities to the team and leadership in a concise and reasoned approach.
- Innovate and drive change.
- Streamline deployment and support processes via automation to maintain a 24/7 environment.
Must Have/Be:
- Proven VMware VSphere engineering expertise.
- Microsoft Windows Server expertise.
- PowerShell scripting expertise.
- Server hardware, network, and storage configuration and tuning capability as it applies within VMware.
- Manage and maintain VMware licensing.
- Communicate to Team Members, Business partners in non-technical terms.
- Know, respect and live the Company's values
- Engineering courage and listening abilities to effectively sell ideas.
- Ability to thrive while accepting ambiguity.
- Positive attitude, willing to learn and have fun.
- Willing to travel, 10%.
