Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: Contract
Rate: DOE
(USC, GC, GCEAD and L2EADS are only preferred)
Requirements:
Experience working as infrastructure project manager (5+ years);
Experience working with shipboard deployments;
Experience in Windows and Unix operating systems;
Experience in Virtualization technologies such as VMWare;
Experience in Databases such as Oracle and MS SQL;
Experience in Storage technologies such as Dell Compellent, EMC VNX/Unity/Vmax, Veritas Netbackup;
Experience in migration of software applications currently hosted in Solaris to the Linux Operating system.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage and own multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and be accountable for implementations;
Manage multiple high-dollar, high-risk projects simultaneously;
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project schedule and Plan;
Manage scope, timeline, and budget for projects and be able to hold others accountable;
Create and communicate the project schedule;
Identify key issues, risks, mitigation plans and can drive to resolution and or execute mitigation steps;
Escalate issues as required to Senior Management to remove obstacles impeding successful project implementations;
Provide leadership and direction to the project team and manages cross team dependencies;
Responsible for conducting effective meetings where the objectives are met, and the project is moving forward;
Report on project status to increase visibility and proactive monitoring;
Manage vendors participating in project and ensures end-product fulfills the contract and meets the project sponsor's expectations.
