Infrastructure Software Developers (Python and Java), Only W2 (Citizen,TN, GC, GC EAD and H4EAD)

Location: Boulevard, Jersey City, New Jersey (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Candidate Preference: Local candidates or those willing to relocate to Jersey City, NJ

Experience: 5+ years

Must-Have Skills:

• Programming Languages:

  • Python (Strong proficiency)
  • Java (Strong proficiency)

• System Engineering:

  • Experience in Infrastructure Development
  • Understanding of LDAP, Kerberos, and TCP/IP Socket Programming

• Operating Systems: Good experience on both Linux/Unix and Windows

• DevOps & Automation:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency with Jenkins or similar automation tools

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Programming Languages:

  • Go
  • Django
  • C, C++

• Mainframe: Familiarity with z/OS

• Full-Stack Development: Experience with both frontend and backend technologies

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for infrastructure management and automation.
• Work on projects involving LDAP, Kerberos, TCP/IP socket programming, and other system-level components.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Programming: Software development experience in Python and Java.
• Cloud & DevOps: Understanding of cloud computing, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Diverse Experience: Experience working with at least two of the following: web application development, databases, information retrieval, networking, and APIs.
• Agile & SDLC: Understanding of Agile and Lean philosophies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication abilities.
• Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with different roles to achieve common goals.
