Purpose of Role
The Infrastructure Support Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure, as well as performing systems and network maintenance. The ideal candidate will work to bridge the gap between IT teams and Operations to improve the efficiency and resiliency of all IT operation’s goals.
Areas of Accountabilities
Monitor performance standards to consistently improve the efficiency and resiliency of IT operations by:
- Incorporating new methods, processes, tools, or platforms into the Rehrig Pacific ecosystem to improve network resiliency, efficiency and/or scalability.
- Identifying improvements to the IT architecture to ensure business sustainability.
- Operating with a continuous improvement mindset, looking for incremental value every month.
- Executing routine systems and networking tasks to reduce technical debt and engineering administration overhead.
- Performing IT deployment for new facilities and following the project plan to deliver the best solution on time and in accordance with the overall IT strategy and vision.
- Focusing efforts to “shift left” through consistent documentation and globalization of IT knowledge for other IT personnel and end users.
- Delivering self-service capabilities to simplify the overall IT infrastructure process.
Providing top tier service to our customers by:
- Deploying and administrating next gen voice, security, systems/cloud services, and networking technologies.
- Utilizing tools in our environment, such as Logic Monitor, FortiManager, NAC to ensure network performance and stability.
- Leveraging tools for security to continuously improve our security posture.
- Cross-training with IT support and Engineering teams, working as an escalation point for tier two support.
- Focusing on ongoing personal development through vendor training and certification achievements.
- Adhering to and updating the internal knowledge base with innovative solutions for support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant industry experience in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of User Support responsibilities in enterprise environments
- Working knowledge of system development lifecycle and networking required
- Demonstrated proficiency with virtualized server environments, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS products, and modern multi-site networks required.
- Demonstrated business acumen and communication skills to develop strong partnerships with business leaders required.
- Experience with FortiOS, Active Directory, Genetec solutions.
- Experience using Project Management concepts and methodologies required.
- Experience with Agile processes preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.
