Job Overview:The primary duty and responsibility is to manage the Infrastructure System Work Center which inspects, maintains, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on energy management control systems, fire suppression, liquid fuels, plumbing, and HVAC. Reviews plans and drawings to verify code compliance, functionality, and maintainability. Oversees functions of the BUILDER SMS data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Performs preventive maintenance utilizing NexGen IT on all non-privatized infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Manages operators who perform all DDC/EMCS monitoring, operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, renovation, upgrade, reprogramming, and similar work.
- Responsible for operators who Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify fire suppression systems, liquid fuel systems, natural gas, liquid petroleum systems, water waste and secondary water distributions in accordance with AFMAN 32-1067, Water and Fuels Systems.
- Responsible for operators who inspect, repair, and maintain fire water supply, fire water storage and fire water distribution systems in accordance with National Fire Protection Association codes and standards to ensure these systems are safe, operational and reliable.
- Oversees operators who inspect, maintain and perform repairs to base swimming pool.
- Responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure they are safe, functional, and reliable.
- Locates/relocates and services up to 10 regular and 2 handicap accessible portable sanitary facilities (portalets) that will be utilized in the event a plumbing outage, maintenance or repair that causes the loss of restroom service(s) to a facility(s).
- Manages operators who inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, clean, repair, replace, install and modify/upgrade HVAC system chillers, air handers, cooling towers, heating units, air conditioners, coils, condensers, boilers/water heaters, furnaces, piping, valves, control systems, etc. (this includes government provided portable chiller units).
- Develops and provides the COR a chiller replacement plan using BUILDER or other established life cycle/ROI analysis.
- Develops, maintains, and updates annually the base Refrigerant Management Plan to ensure compliance with AFMAN 32-7002, Environmental Compliance and Pollution Prevention.
- Develops and executes a refrigerant replacement program that includes the replacement or upgrade of HVAC systems with in-house capabilities (units below 100 tons) - systems will be purchased utilizing the time and material CLIN.
- Assigns work priorities as directed in AFI 32-1001, Operations Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in facilities and infrastructure maintenance and repair activities, as well as a minimum of one year directly supervising a team of craftsmen.
- Knowledge of construction management software, project closeout procedures, preventive maintenance, construction and repair terminology and processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Secret Security clearance.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
