Injury Prevention, Outreach and Education Coordinator (RN) - Cottage Health

The Trauma Injury Prevention, Outreach and Education Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, development, and implementation of the injury prevention, outreach and education programs. Working under the supervision of the Trauma Program Manager, this coordinator works to reduce the burden of injury and improve trauma care through injury prevention and public education as well as continuing education to healthcare providers.. The Injury Prevention, Outreach and Education Coordinator is responsible for promoting Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital as a tertiary referral center by establishing and maintaining relationships with referring agencies and community members throughout the region.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of Associate's Degree in Nursing and at least 4 years of nursing experience. Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing

California RN license. BLS, ACLS, and either PALS or ENPC. Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification required within 1 year of hire. Preferred: TNCC or ATCN instructor certification

Intermediate computer skills required

3 years of RN experience in acute care setting.. Education and Injury Prevention or related public health experience preferred.
