We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at UofL Health - Frazier Rehab Institute
Location: 220 Abraham Flexner Way Louisville, KY 40202
Shift Options: Full Time 1st shift
Responsibilities:
In this role the therapist will provide bedside support within the interdisciplinary treatment team as a non-primary therapist, focused on supplementing additional skilled therapeutic intervention and care that promote the treatment plan and goals established by the primary therapy team. The therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients referred to the facility. This includes patient evaluation, development and implementation of an appropriate treatment plan, delivery of treatment services, and comprehensive discharge planning. The therapist functions as an effective team member and contributes to the development and achievement of department and organizational goals and objectives.
Area of Focus
- 8 months – 18 years old (children and adolscents)
- Working with patients who are receiving rehab for the following reasons:
- Transplants
- Neurological disorders (Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Autism)
- Brain or Spinal injuries
- Multi Trauma
- Working with patients who are receiving rehab for the following reasons:
- 18 years + (adults)
- Working with patients who are receiving rehab for the following reasons:
- Stroke
- Respiratory
- Burns
- Amputees
- Working with patients who are receiving rehab for the following reasons:
- 8 months – 18 years old (children and adolscents)
Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited OT school.
- Registered with the Kentucky State Board of Occupational Therapy.
Experience (required and preferred):
- Acute care, trauma care experience, and/or rehab experience preferred.
Certification
- • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
