Inpatient Mental Health Registered Nurse - Tandym

An inpatient adult psychiatric facility is seeking a Mental Health Registered Nurse to join their team.

Duties of RNs are not limited to the following:

• Provide general nursing care in a behavioral health setting
• Assessing the patient's physical needs
• Checking and transcribing physician's orders in a timely manner
• Medication administration
• Admission, discharge, and transfer of patients based on physician orders
• Assisting with procedures and physical exams
• Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
• Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patient's medical record
• Supervising non-professional nursing staff
• Collecting vital sign, drawing blood, etc.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements:

• License and current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
• 1 year of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting

Preferred:

• 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting
