Inside Sales Assistant
Metals USA has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Assistant in the Mobile, AL facility. The Inside Sales Assistant provides clerical/administrative support for inside/outside sales team; may perform other general office administrative functions,
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Assists in keying customer orders, customer calls or questions
* Verifies accuracy on customers billing and keyed orders
* Maintains files (records) for all service center invoices, shipping orders, work orders, sales orders, customer quotes
* Verifies material receipts and updates inventory count
* Provide clerical support to the sales staff at the service center
* Distributes incoming mail (both inter-company and USPS)
* Answer telephones and provides general information to callers, takes messages, and/or directs calls to appropriate individuals
* May keep records of cash safe and credit card payments, and fill-out banking deposits
* May verify and code service center invoices and submit for final approval.
* May coordinate the ISO quality program (in locations where applicable)
* May maintain and file Mill-Test reports and match them to customer orders
* May take delivery of incoming facility supplies as needed
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

* High School Diploma or GED
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
* Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
* Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
* Basic Computer Skills: (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet) and knowledge of office equipment (printer, fax) and processes
* Interacts professionally with customers and associates. Promptly responds to requests with accuracy and courtesy.
