Inside Sales /Customer Service Representative

This is a non-exempt, full-time position. Inside Sales / Customer Service Representatives manage and maintain designated customer accounts.  

Key Responsibilities

Ÿ        Develop new business by prospecting new opportunities, following up on leads, and ensuring a smooth sales process

Ÿ        Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers by cross-selling different product lines and handling customer service issues.

Ÿ        Maintain a high volume of customer contacts on an ongoing basis in the CRM

Ÿ        Complete special projects as assigned

Ÿ        Spend 75-90% of time on the phone calling customers/ prospects

Ÿ        Develop and research prospect lead lists

Ÿ        Keep management informed of all activity

Ÿ        Develop, report and manage activity reports for customer base

Ÿ        Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, making recommendations and answering key questions

Ÿ        Following up on customer contacts at year end for update and realignment of orders

Ÿ        Answering consumer questions based on expertise of product

Ÿ        Reporting competitive information to senior management

Ÿ        Stay connected in the industry with various types of research, including infrequent trade show attendance, competitive research projects, trade organization research, etc.

Ÿ        Other duties as required to help the success of the department or team.

Qualifications

Ÿ        High School diploma or equivalent

Ÿ        1 -2 years in customer service preferred but not required

Ÿ        High energy and love of speaking to customers/prospects

Ÿ        Good team partnership

Ÿ        Computer literacy; MS Office, EDI, CRM

Ÿ        Well organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving

Ÿ        Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills

Ÿ        The ability to work independently and multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
