Position Summary
The Customer Service Managers is responsible for managing inside sales activities of organization by performing the essential duties and responsibilities personally or through subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to address customer requirements
- Directing sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly
- Providing data and sales forecasts in materials for production scheduling and material requirements
- Assisting Sales in reviewing or performing market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
- Directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and improve the inside sales function
- Providing sales statistics to assist sales managers and sales staff to formulate policy in promoting sales
- Analyzing and controlling expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirements
- Assisting other departments within organization to prepare or distribute manuals, product brochures, and technical publications
- Assisting Sales in preparing periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
- Assisting in new product research, customer requirements, and market trends
- Managing and directing inside sales personnel; leading overall direction, coordination, and evaluation; carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work
- Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelors Degree or four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
