Inside Sales-Ocean transportation - Antillean Marine

This position provides sales support and generates business for Antillean Marine. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary

• Oversee the overall performance and progress of assigned accounts with a focus on maintaining and generating business.
• Foster strong business relationships and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a close line of communication with sales staff, and manager, to secure and develop new business, and ensure a high-quality service.
• Responsible for maintaining customer records updated according to Sales Standards and Procedures.
• Receive, research, and respond to customer inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently.
• Problem-solving on behalf of customers.
• Support sales objectives as set by management in accordance with specific company goals and directives.
• Focus on supporting Accounts and generating new business by analyzing sales leads, dock reports, reviewing competitor statistics, and manifest reports., targeting key and/or new accounts.
• Keep abreast of tariff changes, including new regulations and changes in rate applicability.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of customer service and/or sales support experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively, at an intermediate to advanced level, in a business environment. Must possess strong communication skills to secure new developing business.
• Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with demanding customers and fellow employees.
• Must have organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and respond to common inquiries promptly.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a goal-oriented team, multi-task, and function comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility towards adapting to changing market trends and conditions
• Experience in ocean transportation or related industry.
