We are looking for an experienced, hard-working, Inside Sales Representative to develop existing accounts and close new qualified customers in California. This experienced salesperson must be extremely knowledgeable about our product line, be flexible, and be able to provide outstanding customer service to our team and retail partners. You will work in partnership with Operations, Logistics, and our Sales and Data team to achieve aggressive sales goals.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our sales operations by handling a range of tasks from order entry, inventory monitoring, reviewing customer inventory and assisting with proposals. Additionally, the Inside Sales Representative will collaborate with the VP of Sales, Logistics, and Marketing to identify upselling opportunities, perform basic competitor analysis, and support various other sales-related activities. This role will also include prospecting, research, and appointment setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service -Provide exceptional support to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Order management- Process and enter customer orders into the system accurately. Confirm and follow up on orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Key Account Order Management: -VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) - Will review, mock up, and process orders for all VMI accounts with the assistance of the assigned sales rep and VP of Sales.
- Weekly Menu Email list - will work with the sales team and marketing to set up weekly menu emails for all current customers and prospects.
- Customer Inventory Review - Monitor and review customer inventory levels. Provide recommendations and build orders based on inventory needs and sales data.
- Proposal Assistance - Aid in the development and writing of sales proposals. Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals that meet client needs.
- Promotion Monitoring - Keep track of ongoing promotions and sales campaigns. Ensure that customers are informed about relevant promotions and discounts.
- Cold Calling- Conduct cold calls to potential clients and prospects to generate leads for field sales representatives. Maintain records of calls and follow-up actions.
- Cold-Call prospective customers in an organized, professional manner
- Establish consistent buying cycles to improve operational efficiency (and ultimately customer service)
- Negotiate pricing and terms while maintaining margin
- Actively check on competitive activity and report to company leadership and other sales and marketing team members
- Upselling Opportunities -Work closely with the VP of Sales to identify and develop upselling opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects.
- Competitor Analysis - Perform basic competitor analysis to understand market trends, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Support the planning and execution of sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to sales activities, including filing, data entry, and report generation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years phone sales experience; cannabis/CPG preferred
- Experience in managing a territory/portfolio of up to 150+ accounts
- Hyper-organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle many tasks at once
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Must be proficient in using Google Suite. ERP, Hoodie, Headset experience is a plus
- Possess high attention to detail, prioritization, time management, and organizational skills with a positive, goal-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of market analysis and competitor research.
- Ability to anticipate a customer's needs
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary package and benefits ($30/Hr + Commission/1.5% On Target Bonus above quota).
