Title: Inside Sales Specialist
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Salary: $23-25 an hour
Must have: At least 1 year of experience in customer service/sales
Job Duties:
- Handle incoming calls professionally and direct them to appropriate departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting products that meet their needs.
- Prepare and process customer quotations accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer returns from start to finish.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Resolve customer order issues promptly and effectively.
- Process online orders and coordinate shipments.
- Obtain shipping quotes and book shipments for customer orders.
Qualifications:
- Customer Service Experience: At least one year of experience in customer service or sales (two years preferred).
- Database Proficiency: Experience working with accounting or ERP databases (advantageous).
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to effectively sell and negotiate with customers.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, team-oriented, quick learner, and driven to succeed with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Preferred:
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the manufacturing industry (helpful but not essential).
