About the Company: Thermal Devices, Inc. is a growing industrial distributor specializing in the sale and application of industrial process heaters and process control equipment. Our heaters and controls are widely used in industries such as rubber, glass, plastic, cement, food, chemicals, packaging, and filtration.
About the Role: The Inside Technical Sales position is ideal for an energetic, sales-oriented individual with a background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, although candidates with business degrees who demonstrate relevant technical competence are also encouraged to apply. This role involves consultative selling and providing technical assistance to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Product Support & Order Processing: Handle incoming inquiries, provide technical assistance, and process orders with proficiency and efficiency.
- Sales Development: Cultivate new relationships with customers and maintain existing ones, focusing on business growth through a highly technical value proposition.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain the company’s relationships with current customers while educating them on the company’s capabilities.
- New Business Generation: Dedicate significant time to prospecting via phone to acquire new customers, expand current accounts, and retain the existing customer base.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers and support for sales personnel regarding industrial electric process heaters and process controls.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing plant electrical systems
- Understanding of industrial thermal process control products such as temperature controls, electrical power controls, temperature sensors and heating elements
- Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly over the phone, live chat, email, etc.
- Basic understanding of sales strategies is preferred.
- Outgoing personality and an ability to work independently
