We are seeking an experienced InstallationProject Manager to join our team!
The Installation Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Houston Equipment Install Team. Our team is responsible for installing automotive and heavy-duty shop equipment. As an Installation Project Manager, you will schedule and oversee the installation of projects.
This individual will ensure adherence to contract specifications and established policies and procedures, as well as manage staff in day-to-day job performance. This position will ensure that project milestones are met according to approved budgets, while promoting and supporting Company policies and safety practices.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operational activities and ensures all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Responsible for managing staff, hiring, training employees, and managing quality assurance programs
- Strategize process improvement and improve operational management systems and processes
- Create schedule and execute project work plan, adjusting accordingly to meet changing needs and requirements
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
- Price/prepare any additional pricing on the project
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Efficiently manage project budgeting and forecasting
- Attend pre-construction meetings, pull permits and licensing, and manage punch lists
- Effectively apply company methodology and project standards
- Manage a team of technicians, including tracking hours and reporting expenses on a weekly basis
- Ensure all employees meet site-specific training (forklift certified, safety certified, etc.)
- Minimize company exposure and risk on projects
- Verify all employees meet site specific training. (i.e. forklift certified, safety certified)
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Must be able to lead by example and have excellent communication skills
- Have a strong knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Proficient with business and financial principles
- Must have valid driver's license and have acceptable driving record, background check, and clean drug test results
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Mechanical background
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, basic business math
- Well versed in creating, maintaining, and communicating schedules
- Must be able to fill out miscellaneous forms, contracts, and spreadsheets
- Think critically and problem-solve creatively
- Handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion
- Good judgment
