What you'll do:
- The job of Installer exists to prepare the chassis for truck body installation; install required units in truck bodies as part of the manufacturing of truck bed fabrication; additionally, may assist in other miscellaneous duties/related work as required.
- Prepares the chassis for truck body installation
Installs the body onto the chassis
Installs the bumpers onto the chassis
Installs all wiring and electrical units in the chassis
Installs accessories of aftermarket products
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Makes safety a priority
What you need to be successful:
- Install Shop experience
- Job history working in a body shop, car stereo shop, custom vehicle up-fit, is preferred.
- Proficient with use of hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, screw drivers
- Proficient with use of rechargeable impact gun, rechargeable drill.
- Proficient in drilling holes
- Proficient with making minor modifications to bracketry in order to make components fit together properly
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and teamwork
- Ability to develop recommendations for more efficient operation in the bays.
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view
