Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, the college provides an outlet for innovation and cross-disciplinary exposure. It also features pre-professional degrees in biology, alongside our degrees in microbiology, physics, and a forensic science and exercise science program.

This is a face-to-face part time opportunity. MUST be available to come to the main campus.

This position is a part-time Teaching Assistant position.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

• Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.

• Assists instruction with in-class activities, including proctoring examinations.

• Observes students performance, and records relevant data to aid instructor in assessing progress

• Coordinates study groups outside of class to tutor students on class material

• May facilitate additional ad hoc lectures as a refresher to classroom formal lecture

• Assists with grading assignments

• Proctors occasional make up examinations/assignments

• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

• Completed Bachelors degree from accredited institution on date of application submission.

• Must have sufficient courses in Introduction to General, Organic and Biochemistry, General Chemistry II, Organic Chemistry I, and Organic Chemistry II, as well as having received a grade of B or higher in these courses.

• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the Universitys Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
