Opportunity at a Glance
We are seeking a newly minted highly skilled Instructional Design Specialist to join our Training and Development team. This role will focus on creating a value-driven training program tailored to the needs of our enrollment team, with a strong emphasis on sales methodologies, including consultative selling, pipeline management, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building engaging and effective training content that empowers our enrollment advisors to excel in their roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Design and Efficacy:
- Develop engaging training modules and materials that focus on strategic enrollment methodologies and best practices, tailored specifically to the enrollment team's unique context.
- Design comprehensive onboarding and ongoing learning experiences that align with the enrollment team's strategic goals, emphasizing continuous improvement in advisor effectiveness and conversion rates.
- Create content that directly enhances key skills for fostering prospect engagement and conversion, such as relationship building, active listening, personalized communication, addressing concerns, and guiding prospects through the enrollment process.
- Ensure a consistent and scalable training approach across the enrollment team, focusing on both new hire onboarding and ongoing development for experienced advisors.
- Prioritize the design and efficacy of the curriculum and training, ensuring that content creation aligns with these objectives.
- Impact Measurement and Data-Driven Iteration:
- Be primarily focused on ensuring that the impact of training can be effectively measured, and leverage insights and data to continuously refine the curriculum and training programs.
- Design assessments and quizzes to gauge learning outcomes and identify areas where additional support or training may be needed.
- Analyze performance data and gather feedback from learners and stakeholders to pinpoint skill gaps and recommend targeted training interventions aimed at boosting enrollment metrics.
- Collaboration and Content Development:
- Collaborate closely with enrollment leaders, the Quality Assurance and Insights team, and other stakeholder teams to identify training needs, gather relevant content, and ensure alignment between training initiatives and overall enrollment strategies. o Partner with subject matter experts to incorporate current best practices and industry standards into training materials.
- Listen to and analyze call recordings to identify training needs, develop targeted content, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals, and continuously assess training effectiveness through data-driven evaluation.
- Utilize e-learning authoring tools to build interactive modules that showcase effective enrollment techniques in action.
- Incorporate engaging visuals, simulations, and assessments to reinforce learning and skill development.
- Manage course content within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring easy access, tracking progress, and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Project Management and Accessibility:
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, developing timelines, coordinating with team members, and meeting deadlines.
- Prioritize projects based on organizational needs, adapting to changing priorities and demands.
- Ensure all training materials are accessible and inclusive, catering to diverse learning styles and meeting compliance standards.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in instructional design, specifically in developing training for sales teams or enrollment advisors in higher education.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies, including consultative sales and pipeline management.
- Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and experience managing content within an LMS.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and sales training.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $53,520.9 and $93,918.96. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
