Instructional Tutor - Discovery School (2024-2025) - Hebron Middle School - Bullitt County Public Schools

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Hebron MiddleSchool is seeking a highly qualified instructional tutor to work with our students in the Discovery School. The successful candidate must be:

• Knowledgeable of and able to implement best instructional practices
• Able to partner with the instructional coach, certified classroom teachers, a second instructional tutor, and other classified instructional assistants in a collaborative setting to support the learning of struggling students

• Able to instruct and work independently without direct supervision

• Regular in attendance and punctual
• Good with details and record keeping

• Supportive of the total school program

The positions is6.5hours per dayand 183 days per year.

170 instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 2 extended days

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

• Must have 64 college credit hours and a 2.5 GPA and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

Step 0: $23.33

Step 10: $25.55

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.(NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year long contract and divided by the number of reamining paychecks. This position is considered atenmonthemployee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
