Instrument Technician - JCSI

Key Responsibilities:

• Instrumentation Maintenance: Install, maintain, and calibrate a range of instrumentation devices including valves, level, temperature, pressure, and flow devices, as well as static and continuous weighing systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with individual devices, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maintaining process efficiency.
• New Installations: Lead new installations by fitting instruments, running conduit, wiring panels, and interpreting electrical and P&ID blueprints. Execute initial setup procedures to ensure seamless integration.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, plant management, and external vendors to achieve the highest standards of operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in industrial controls and instrumentation, with hands-on experience in PLC troubleshooting.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using multimeters to measure voltages from 5v to 120v and 4-20mA loops. Experience with flow meter calibration and flow sensors.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; an Electrical license, or an Associate degree in Automation, Applied Science, or Instrumentation is highly preferred.
