Roles & Responsibilities:
Preparation of Engineering Documentation for:- Lists of instruments, signals, cables.
- Technical specifications and data sheets for instruments and materials
- Hook-Ups
- Loop Diagrams
- Calculation of instruments (control valves, safety valves, orifice plates,...)
- Must have experience with Canadian codes and standards related to Instrumentation & Control
- Compare options on the market
- Contact vendors to resolve doubts and obtain a technical offer
- Selection of the best model that suits the needs
- Make RFQ and technical tabulations
- Technical monitoring of the status of the order
- Review of the supplier's technical documentation
- Commissioning of Instrumentation and Control components
Know how to read and interpret:
- P&ID
- C&E Matrix (Cause & Effect)
- Control Architecture
- Functional descriptions of the control system
- Piping specifications
- Line lists
- Logic Diagrams
- Electric Schemes
- Isometrics
- Mechanical Plans
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
- Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
