Position Overview:An Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of instrumentation and control systems used in various industrial applications. This role ensures the accuracy and reliability of instruments critical to operational efficiency and safety.Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install and configure instruments, sensors, and control systems per specifications.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on instrumentation systems.
- Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Calibration:
- Calibrate instruments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain calibration records and documentation.
- Testing and Monitoring:
- Conduct tests to evaluate instrument performance and reliability.
- Monitor systems for anomalies and take corrective action as needed.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
- Prepare reports on instrumentation performance and compliance.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to support projects and troubleshooting efforts.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Education:
- Associate’s degree in Instrumentation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in instrumentation or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and control systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with calibration equipment and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
