Responsibilities
Sales and Prospecting:
- Prospect, identify, and develop new leads through various channels such as networking, referrals, and cold calling.
- Conduct sales presentations to potential clients, effectively communicating the features and benefits of insurance products.
- Follow up on leads and inquiries promptly to convert them into sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the agency.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs and preferences.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine appropriate coverage options and customize insurance solutions accordingly.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients, addressing any inquiries, claims, or policy changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively review clients' policies to ensure they are adequately covered and recommend adjustments or additional products as needed.
Risk Assessment and Analysis:
- Assess clients' risk exposures and insurance needs by analyzing their personal or business assets, liabilities, and operations.
- Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate risk management strategies and insurance solutions to mitigate exposures.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact clients' insurance needs.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing the insurance industry.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and insurance carriers.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding sales practices, documentation, and confidentiality.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues, underwriters, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive insurance solutions and support to clients.
- Share best practices, insights, and resources within the team to foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Deliver exceptional customer service at all touchpoints, ensuring a positive experience for clients throughout their insurance journey.
- Handle client complaints or issues with empathy, professionalism, and a focus on resolution.
Requirements
Licensing: Possess or willing to obtain relevant insurance licenses in Kentucky.
Experience: Experience in insurance sales or a related field. Experience with both personal and commercial insurance products is advantageous.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills are essential.
Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
Networking Abilities: Demonstrated ability to prospect, generate leads, and cultivate relationships through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage a pipeline of clients, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, insurance products, and regulatory requirements.
Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with all industry regulations and guidelines.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using insurance industry software, CRM systems, and other technology tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
Education: Bachelors degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
