Summary:
The Insurance Account Executive is a dynamic position, requiring a high degree of Insurance product knowledge and technical expertise. This position will exercise judgment and act independently to provide service to an assigned book of business, in addition to supporting new business activity for our Sales Risk Advisors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and respond quickly in a fast paced environment.
- Work independently while serving accounts and have a significant volume of daily account activity.
- Act as the lead on assigned house accounts and provide assistance in the placement of new and renewal business.
- Represent Huntington Insurance as a product expert by staying current with industry changes, trends and opportunities.
- Maintain and develop product line knowledge through educational opportunities.
- Act as a resource and participant in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to established agency service standards and timelines.
- Utilize agency technology and software applications including agency management and document management systems, workflows and procedures as well as industry software programs, to full capabilities.
- Respond to internal and external client related inquiries in a timely manner.
- Take ownership to provide successful problem resolution, paying close attention to details.
- Coordinate and communicate client service needs, directing and assisting team members as needed.
- Request, review and process policy coverage changes and endorsements to carriers.
- Prepare and review documents including proposals, on line quotes, marketing submissions, spreadsheet analysis and premium allocations, insurance documents and other client presentation materials.*
- Provide guidance and act as a role model & mentor to other team members, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- A minimum of seven years, Commercial Insurance Agency Client Servicing and/or Commercial Underwriting experience
- Current, in-force Resident Life and Health license
- High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Sagitta and Image Right systems experience
- Insurance designation preferred (CIC, CPCU, CISR, CRM)
- Proven track record of successful insurance customer service and marketing experience for middle market to large market clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using MS Office products specifically MS Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
