We are seeking a Full-Time Insurance Authorization Coordinator in our Chesapeake office to obtain insurance authorizations for Home Health Care services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical office and or home health care experience (preferred)
- Insurance authorizations experience
- Must be customer service oriented, detail oriented and an above average communicator
- Must be organized and be able to multi-task
- Must be able to read, write and maintain records in English
JOB SUMMARY:
The Insurance Authorization Coordinator is responsible for obtaining the initial and continuing authorizations. This position works with the Central Authorization Coordinator to ensure all patient services are verified and authorized.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to):
- Obtain initial insurance authorization on all new referrals that require pre-authorization
- Develop a positive rapport with staff members, payor representatives and community resources
- Involved in the provision or receipt of home care and hospice services
- Any other duties as assigned by the Central Authorization Coordinator or Billing Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Experience:
• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
