GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for strictly outside insurance sales and service to customers. Responsible for new business development.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Responsible for creating new customer relationships. Meets with clients to discuss and assist with insurance needs.
- Assists with servicing customer account. Complete requests in a timely manner.
- Responsible for reviewing applications for accuracy and completion.
- Participates in seminars and classes for ongoing development and industry knowledge. Holds proper insurance licenses.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Assists with other job-related duties as assigned by manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of insurance products and services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Agency Software.
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task, and function as a team player.
- Ability to sell insurance products.
- Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate various office machines including switchboard, adding machine, copy machine, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proper insurance licenses.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Seeing: 75 - 100%
Must be able to read documents, use computer
Hearing: 75% - 100%
Must be able to communicate with customers and co-workers in person and on the telephone.
Standing/Walking: 25-49%
Must be able to visit with the employees, go to areas of the office to use copier & fax machines, etc.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 25-49%
Must be able to kneel or stoop to file in cabinets.
Fingering/ Grasping/Feeling: 75% - 100%
Must be able to use computer, write and handle paperwork
PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing is required, only occasionally.
