Are you a dynamic, driven, and experienced Insurance Regulatory Attorney with a passion for the legal industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you! We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Regulatory Attorney to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of captive insurance and will play a key role in managing the legal aspects of our insurance operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging legal issues, provide strategic advice, and interact with senior management.
Responsibilities:
As an Insurance Regulatory Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Providing legal advice on insurance regulatory matters, including compliance with state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various insurance agreements and contracts.
3. Representing the company in legal proceedings involving insurance regulatory matters.
4. Advising on captive insurance arrangements, including formation, licensing, and regulatory compliance.
5. Conducting legal research and analysis on various insurance regulatory issues.
6. Coordinating with other departments to ensure compliance with insurance laws and regulations.
7. Providing training to company staff on insurance regulatory matters.
8. Keeping up to date with changes in insurance laws and regulations and advising the company accordingly.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who have:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. At least 5 years of experience as an Insurance Regulatory Attorney, preferably with a focus on captive insurance.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Strong knowledge of state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
