Salary Range: $48,000 and deescalates over 1 year as commission increases.

About the Role
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining favorable relationships with members of a financial institution and recent clients to increase their book of business. This position requires consultive sales techniques and strong product knowledge to include, but is not limited to, life, home, auto, flood, and umbrella. This position will identify client-specific needs, cross-sell opportunities, and customized insurance solutions. Must have Property and Casualty product knowledge with a proven ability to apply product and market knowledge effectively and present solutions that meet client needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
- Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support.
- Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
- Actively prospect round accounts and solicit increases in existing client coverages and network for new clients, including win-backs.
- Maintains proficiency in all personal lines of insurance, including home, auto, life, flood, and umbrella.
- Works directly with prospects, which may include referrals from loan officers, builders, and realtors to convert prospects into sales.
- Conduct needs-based customer policy reviews and update coverage.
- Educates clients on coverages and rates.
- Prepares and processes inquiries, quotes, proposals, applications, endorsements, payments, and outbound email/phone marketing campaigns.
- Researches and resolves complex customer service issues and recommends coverage.
- Generates cross-sales, closes inbound leads, and requests referrals to increase client base.
- Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing clients by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Responsible for entering client and sales data into the databases.
- Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation promptly, accurately, and professionally.
Desired Outcomes
Continuous professional growth, adherence to regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall success of the team and company are also key objectives for the role. This position involves building and maintain strong relationships with Credit Union employees to maximize referral opportunities. The Agent will have specific KPIs relative to monthly activity and production.
Employment & Educational Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Personal Lines Sales role with proven success in turning prospects into customers.
- Prefer 2 to 3 years of Personal Lines Sales experience and proven ability to find, build, and grow leads and customer base.
- Prefer a bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or similar field.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and/or Specialize Required
- MUST have an active Property and Casualty Insurance License (or General Lines).
- Active Life and Health Insurance License is a Plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must maintain Continuing Education.
