The maximum salary of the Insurance Technician 2 is $52,499. Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.
NOTE:
Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments. Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.

Acts as a liaison between various divisions of the Department and industry representatives involving documentation, resolution of issues, and coordination of meetings.
Issues violation notices with detailed explanations of errors when a policy is incorrect; follows up cases by correspondence or telephone until corrective action is taken.
Researches insurance industry records in order to provide information to telephone inquiries from insurance agents, insurance companies, the general public, state and federal agencies, and corporate officials.
Under close supervision provides general advice and interpretation of laws, regulations, administrative policies, and procedures to industry representatives and the general public on document preparation, required fees, and approved rates/rules and forms.
Responds to written, telephone, and walk-in requests for information relative to rate/rule filings and forms or general licensing inquiries.
Maintains records and files.
Assists in preparing outlined summary of all fees collected daily and validates totals for deposits.
