Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Verifications Specialist to join our team. This role involves electonic and telephonic verification of patients insurance benefits and elibility. 

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify insurance benefits online and via phone
• Accurately input insurance information and coverage details into patient accounts.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and colleagues.
• Proactively address potential issues to prevent crisis situations.
• Assist with daily telephone inquiries from patients regarding billing issues and direct them to the appropriate team member.
• Discuss any concerns or problems related to daily service slips and charges with the manager on a weekly basis.
• Provide support to the Accounts Receivable department as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience verifying patient insurance elibility and benefits via insurance portals is required.
• Knowledge of EOB, ICD-9, CPT codes, and accounts receivable processes is preferred.
• Experience in billing for OB/GYN and infertility is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred, along with data entry skills and a typing speed of 40 words per minute.
