Part Time 24 Hours
Monday and Wednesday 3:00PM - 11:30PM plus every other weekend 7:00AM - 3:30PM
The Intake Coordinator, under the supervision of the Chief Admissions Director, is responsible for facilitating the admission process. As a member of the Intake and Admissions team the Mental Health Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing admission referrals, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations and for assisting patients throughout the admission process.

Welcoming patient to TaraVista

Maintaining patient privacy and safety

Ensuring person search and belongings search are completed

Completing all aspects of the nursing admission assessment in the Medical Record

Completing all legal documents as required

Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Admissions Director
Successful Intake Coordinator candidates will have the following:

CPR certification required.

Previous psychiatric/substance inpatient experience preferred.

Previous Intake/Admissions experience strongly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities.

Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.

Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record.

Crisis management and time management skills.

Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner.
