RVCC is hiring an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician for our School-Based Health Centers!

This is a 10-month school-year position at one of our School-Based Health Centers. This program provides comprehensive health care on-site at public schools in Holyoke. The IBHC provides trauma-sensitive response to behavioral health crises including de-escalation skills and working with Emergency Services Program/Mobile Crisis Intervention. They work collaboratively with SBHC and school staff to provide wrap-around care for students.
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- In accordance with the School-Based Health Center (SBHC)grant, the clinician is responsible for recognizing and responding to arising needs of students who are members of the SBHC.
- Participate in the Campus Care Team and Student Support Team. The clinician will consult and collaborate with school staff during these meetings to provide wraparound care for SBHC students.
- Work in collaboration with Teen Clinic Nurse Practitioner, Office Manager, Community Health Worker and other Clinicians to holistically support students and their families
- Create and present classroom sessions and staff professional development on topics such as social/ emotional skills, school climate, early recognition of mental health symptoms, and the services offered by the SBHC.
- Facilitate one on one and group meetings to discuss preliminary evaluations of high-risk students to determine brief interventions, referral to services or development of action plans
Job Requirements:
Education Level - Graduate from an accredited Master’s Level Program in Counseling or Social Work
Years of Experience - One to three years’ experience as a mental health clinician or social worker preferred. Understanding and experience with low-income, diverse students in an urban public-school setting.
Skills/Abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; crisis intervention skills; organizational skills; attention to detail; computer skills; good customer relations skills; knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to the profession.
Licensing - none.
Hiring Bonus:
Up to $2,500 for Master Level, Unlicensed Clinicians
Up to $3,500 for LCSW
Up to $4,000 for Independently Licensed Clinicians (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, Lic. Psychologist)
An additional bonus for Bilingual Clinicians - Up to $2,000
Up to $10,000 retention payments offered to licensed and license eligible clinicians at signing and at one year of employment
