Compensation: 165000.00 / Annually

Our client, a prestigious law firm, has an immediate need for an experienced Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join their winning team in Boston.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in biological sciences and hold an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred; a Master’s degree with substantial industry experience will be considered) along with a passion for intellectual property law.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Draft and prosecute patent applications in the field of biological sciences.
2. Conduct IP due diligence and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.
3. Assist in litigation support and post-grant proceedings as necessary.
4. Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional service and innovative IP strategies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Advanced degree in Biological Sciences (Ph.D. preferred; Master’s with significant industry experience acceptable).
2. Experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
3. Familiarity with IP due diligence and FTO analyses.
4. Some litigation and/or post-grant experience is beneficial.
5. Registration with the USPTO is preferred.
6. Prior experience in a law firm setting is a plus.
7. Excellent academic record, superior organizational and communication skills (both written and oral).
8. Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service and a creative, entrepreneurial perspective on IP.
