For over 70 years, they have kept pace with California’s growth, and with more than 100 attorneys, they have the resources and experience to offer the highest quality representation in a wide variety of legal matters. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Intellectual Property Attorney to join our growing team.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Will focus on providing high-level legal expertise in intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on complex matters related to copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
• Have substantial experience in IP litigation and be adept at advising clients on intellectual property strategy, portfolio management, and litigation tactics in both federal and state courts.

DUTIES:

• Advise on copyright protection, fair use, and proper usage.
• Prepare copyright applications and handle licensing and transactions.
• Represent clients in copyright infringement cases.
• Counsel on patentability and patent strategy, both domestically and internationally.
• Prosecute patent applications and manage patent portfolios.
• Litigate patent infringement and conduct validity/infringement studies.
• Guide on trademark selection, clearance, and usage.
• Manage trademark registrations, portfolios, and anti-counterfeiting programs.
• Litigate trademark and counterfeiting cases.
• Advise on trade secret protection and handle related disputes.
• Represent clients in trade secrets, antitrust, and advertising/marketing litigation.
• Address domain name disputes, internet/IP business issues, and licensing matters.
• Provide counsel on IP-related transactions and strategic IP defense/prosecution.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the CA state bar.
• A minimum of 5+ years of IP litigation experience with demonstrated expertise in copyright, patent, trademark, and trade secret law.
• Strong track record of success in handling IP litigation cases in state and federal courts.
• Deep understanding of intellectual property laws and the ability to provide strategic advice on complex matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client service.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $215,000
• Plus performance-based incentives include percentages for origination, collections, profit sharing, and realization rates. We can delve into more details to find mutually beneficial terms.
