Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provides direct patient care in the Johnson Depression Center Intensive Outpatient Program, including group therapy utilizing evidenced based practices
+ Diagnose, evaluate, and provide direct patient individual therapy in areas such as crisis management, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, etc.
+ Screen for suicidal ideation and other safety concerns and document clinical interactions in a timely fashion to support clinic operations
+ Other duties as assigned.
Examples of Work Performed:
+ Provides multiculturally sensitive behavior health assessment, triage, case management, and individual and group psychotherapy
+ Collaborate with other mental health faculty and staff in the provision of mental health and wellness care
+ Help manage details of insurance including authorization and peer to peer reviews for denials
+ Chart patient visits using an electronic medical record
+ Assist in discharge planning, including identifying community placement
+ Develop programmatic benchmarks and outcomes of effectiveness
+ Participate in quality and performance assessment projects
+ Participate in the development of and administration of group programs including skills development, experiential activities, and mindfulness

Minimum Qualifications:

Instructor
+ Minimum degree qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work
+ Candidates must have an LPC or LCSW and must hold a Colorado License.
+ 1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of relevant experience
+ Knowledge of evidence-based treatments including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Activation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),
+ Experience in program development and wellness
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Must have skills in risk assessment, including suicide and violence risk assessment.
+ Must be comfortable with case management and coordination of care.
+ Must be comfortable with a combination of individual and group therapy, as well as working with families.
+ Must be efficient with time management with the ability to see many patients in a row if needed or to use time constructively for administrative or other work.
+ Must develop knowledge about step-down processes and network with community providers.
