Pay: $40 - $45 per hour
About Our Client:
Our client, a healthcare services provider, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the finance and accounting operations during a transitional period as the company prepares for a potential sale. This temporary role is expected to last between six months to a year.
Job Description:
The Accounting Manager will manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. This role is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing compliance, and providing key financial insights to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Finance and Accounting department, working closely with one staff accountant.
- Manage AP, AR, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Provide budget vs. actual analysis and create forecast reports for income and expenses.
- Lead the month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts receivable.
- Conduct periodic audits and issue reports as needed.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve financial processes.
- Support internal and external audits as necessary.
- Handle other special projects as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 7-10 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting.
- Strong ability to manage the company's finances and provide business insights to leadership.
- Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and Excel.
