About the Job
The Hun School of Princeton seeks an Admission Associate who will participate in all aspects of the admission and enrollment process, from inquiry through enrollment. This part-time, interim role will contribute to the School community by assisting with event support, travel, admission ambassador and tour guide support, prospective student and family interviews, application evaluation, and more, based on experience.
The Interim Admission Associate is a one-year, part-time position reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management with a flexible schedule. Schedule and hours will be determined based on needs.
Responsibilities and Essential functions:
Admission Support:
- Assist with the admission application process, including conducting interviews for prospective students and families;
- Serve as a point of contact for prospective families, offering information and guidance throughout their journey;
- Support strategic recruitment efforts and maintain communication activities to aid enrollment goals;
- Travel locally and potentially nationally as required, totaling approximately three (3) weeks per year.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in planning and executing admission events such as open houses, campus visits, tours, and webinars;
- Coordinate with volunteers, faculty, and staff to ensure successful event execution;
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align events with school branding and outreach strategies.
Tour Guide and Ambassador Management:
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising student admission ambassadors and tour guides;
- Support Associate Director and Visit Coordinator as needed to ensure a positive visit experience for prospective families.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the admission team to contribute to enrollment goals and promote diversity within the student body;
- Assist the Admission Information Systems Manager in preparing reports on admission metrics, including applicant demographics and financial aid distribution;
- Participate in planning sessions to enhance admission processes and recruitment strategies.
Community Engagement:
- Engage in campus activities to strengthen community connections and inclusivity efforts beyond the admission office.
The ideal candidate will possesses the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with an interest in education and willingness to learn about the admission process;
- Previous experience in admission, customer service, or education is a plus;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse backgrounds;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment;
- Flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends based on admission events;
