About the Job
Job Title: Interim Controller Job Summary: As an interim controller for our manufacturing client, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
You will provide strategic financial guidance, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals during this transitional period.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Accounting Operations: Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate financial projections.
Cost Control: Monitor manufacturing costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Audit Preparation: Prepare documentation and assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
Cash Management: Manage cash flow, including cash forecasting, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the finance and accounting functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
Proven experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with manufacturing-specific software is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
