Interim Director of FP&A
Our client, a fast-growing company in the technology sector, is seeking an experienced Interim Director of FP&A. This key role will support the finance team during a temporary period, managing strategic finance projects, including budgeting, acquisition analysis, and fundraising support. Reporting to the CFO and VP of Finance, this remote position offers an opportunity to contribute to both ongoing and new strategic initiatives in a collaborative environment. This role is fully remote with working hours from 7am to 3pm PST.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the 2025 planning process, including budgeting and forecasting, and prepare board decks for presentation and distribution.
- Project Management: Support a new fundraising round and assist in analyzing potential acquisition targets.
- Training & Mentorship: Train and onboard a new strategic finance team member.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with the accounting and controllership teams, update the corporate financial model, and ensure effective use of tools like Aleph, QuickBooks, and Salesforce.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide timely financial insights and reporting directly to board members and executive leadership.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A with a focus in SaaS and fintech sectors.
- Hands-on experience with fundraising and M&A.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, with familiarity in financial tools such as Aleph and experience with QuickBooks and Salesforce integration.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
