About the Job
HGA has an exciting opportunity for a talented innovative and energetic Interior Designer or Project Coordinator to join our San Francisco office. Bring your passion and experience to HGA! Collaborate with and be an integral part of the architectural and interior design team, supporting the development of the design efforts, performing all technical aspects of the design process from project startup through to construction administration and assisting in gathering project requirements, planning and documentation.
In this role you will::- Work with Architectural and Interior Design teams to develop the interior design direction, translating complex programming requirements into design solutions.
- Research materials and concepts to advise and support design team on technical issues influencing interior design concept development.
- Actively collaborate with marketing and design principals and business development teams in pursuits by participating in project interviews.
- Work within project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate the completion of documentation required from initial design phase through final project completion.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally with multidisciplinary team members.
- Mentor other team members and interior designers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design / Interior Architecture program
- 5+ years of interior design experience (preferred passion/work experience in Healthcare and Public | Corporate)
- Professional licensure and/or certification required
- Knowledge of:
- interior design concepts, materials, and furnishing requirements – including concepts, practices, standards and principles;
- thorough understanding of the technical process for large and small-scale interiors projects;
- building materials, specifications, and construction techniques;
- applicable codes (city, state, federal); and
- finish materials, FF&E selection and specification, interior design components for millwork / casework and construction detailing.
- Proficiency in Revit required; experience with 3D tools such as, Enscape, and other graphic tools highly desired.
- Fluent knowledge of adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with space planning and technical skills including 3D visualization, design detailing, and construction documentation
- Strong communication and presentation skills
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $76,000 - $96,100
