Job Details
Responsibilities:
As an Interiors Superintendent, you will be expected to:
1. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.
2. Oversee commercial construction projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to design plans.
3. Manage project budgets efficiently, negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
4. Supervise subcontractors, coordinating their work and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
5. Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring all projects are completed within the agreed timelines.
6. Plan and coordinate all project phases, from initiation to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met.
7. Adhere to AIA guidelines and industry best practices in all construction processes.
8. Manage the construction process, troubleshooting any issues that may arise and ensuring smooth project execution.
9. Oversee the installation of drywall, millwork, painting, and finishes, ensuring they meet the project's aesthetic and quality standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Interiors Superintendent position, candidates must possess the following:
1. A minimum of five years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
2. Proven experience in blueprint reading, commercial construction, quality control, and budget management.
3. Strong skills in contract negotiation and subcontractor management.
4. Proficiency in construction scheduling and project planning.
5. Knowledge of AIA guidelines and construction management best practices.
6. Experience in managing construction projects, from initiation to completion.
7. Familiarity with drywall, millwork, painting, and finishes.
8. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
9. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
10. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
