Our client is an international firm providing professional and technical support services to public and private sector clients. Their expertise includes government and institutional facilities, bridge and highway construction, transportation design and commercial and residential building facilities construction/maintenance. They use their extensive knowledge to restore and replace aging infrastructure across cities, countries, and continents. Recent projects include a new subway line in New York City, the world's largest green-field port development in Qatar, a 24-kilometer sea crossing in Malaysia and the expansion of LA International Airport. Over five-thousand Architects and 75,000 Engineers work for this A/E firm around the world.
Job Description:
Immediate need for Project Engineer to support and coordinate construction work to ensure process conformance. Work includes office management, support of site meetings, site staff, management paperwork, coordination with facility operations, and supporting the safety and quality of the work. The Project Engineer will work at the Queens facility.
Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate construction work, ensuring the process with contract documents and standards.
- Site office management.
- Coordination and support of site meetings.
- Confirming site staff.
- Input site management “paperwork”.
- Manage the processing of requests for payments.
- Coordination with facility operations and others.
- Support the safety and quality of the work.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Cost Management, or other relevant construction or engineering fields of study.
- MUST be a Microsoft Office wiz! (Word, Excel including use of pivot tables, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.)
- Familiarity with other database sources.
- Proven Project Management skills, managing complex projects.
- Skills in problem recognition.
- Possess a basic ability to read legal documents and contracts.
- Strong verbal and written skills in a client-facing capacity.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Cost Management, or other relevant construction or engineering fields of study.
